Stability of Hydrogen Peroxide
In situ chemical oxidation using hydrogen peroxide for groundwater remediation has received a great deal of attention over the past decade.
We are investigating the interaction between hydrogen peroxide and aquifer materials in the laboratory using both batch and flow-through column experiments.
We hope to identify and quantify the controlling factors related to enhanced decomposition for hydrogen peroxide, and to develop predictive tools that can be used during the design of peroxide ISCO systems.
