Civ E 342 - Transport Principles and Applications

Winter - 2006

 

Course Objectives:       The objective of this course is to provide students a clear and concise introduction to the basic principles and procedures of transport planning and engineering applied to intercity transport problems. Major subjects covered in this course include an introduction to transportation engineering, characteristics of the human, the vehicle and the road, highway geometric design, pavement design, traffic and highway capacity analysis, and transportation economics and demand forecasting.
