The Chairholder and director of the research program is
Dr. Mahesh Pandey, who provides scientific leadership and
supervision to the research team.
Dr. Pandey is a professor in the
Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering
and has extensive experience in basic and applied research
in the areas of mechanics and reliability of engineering
structures. He is also an internationally recognized research professor
in the field of risk management and life cycle methods.
The research team currently consists of one full-time
researcher and a number of graduate students and
post-graduate fellows. Immediate employment opportunities exist

The Chair provides training of highly qualified persons (HQP)
in the areas of Risk and Reliability Analysis, Probability
and Statistics, Life-Cycle Management, Survival (lifetime)
Analysis, Maintenance Optimization, Stochastic Models,
Extreme Value Analysis and Simulation Methods.
