Hi Rob and James,
I'm trying to apply the Raven framework in a cold region with permafrost underlain. After I reading the Raven Manual, I did not find any information about the permafrost module.
So my question is that does Raven consider any hydrology processes about frozen soil?
Thank you very much for your help!

Re: Permafrost module, parameters and input data
Hi Li,
This is an active research topic for our group. While we are in the process of adding both a continuum and discrete submodel with unsaturated frozen ground physics, this will not be available in the Raven code for some time yet. In the meantime, you can approximate frozen ground using time-dependent infiltration parameters (the :TransientParameter command) - not ideal, but occasionally sufficient.

James
