Raven v2.9 now online

Postby jrcraig » Tue Feb 19, 2019 3:35 pm

I am pleased to note that version 2.9 of the Raven Hydrologic Modelling Framework is now available at:

http://raven.uwaterloo.ca/Downloads.html
http://raven.uwaterloo.ca/Downloads_fr.html (en français)

This version has been improved with a handful of modelling features, new algorithms, quality checks on inputs, increased speed, and minor bug fixes. Notably, the following features have been added:

• New Models Added – full (level 1) emulation support for the MOHYSE (Fortin and Turcotte, 2006) and HYMETS (Martel et al., 2017) hydrological models
• PET Algorithms – added the PET estimation algorithms of Oudin et al. (2005) and Granger & Gray (1989).
• Cold Regions Algorithms –rain-snow partitioning of Harder & Pomeroy (2013), two new snow albedo evolution algorithms, and a new energy balance-based potential melt algorithm.
• Other – support for non-midnight start time, support for the Ouranos PAVICS platform, revised netCDF support for Delft-FEWS compatibility, new :AnnualCycle command for inputting cyclical time series and :Nudge command for state modification in forecasting
• Major Bug Fix – repaired a bug in the calculation of model UTM zone, which impacted nearest-neighbor interpolation in models with multiple meteorological gauges; this would not impact single gauge models, models using gridded inputs, or user-specified gauge weights.
• Improvements/updates to the Raven documentation.
