What I do:
My job consists of teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, attempting to figure
out how things work (research), and the training of engineers on how to build with or on
dirt (soil and rock). My area of expertise is in the branch of Civil and Geological
Engineering called Geotechnical Engineering.
Current research interests are focused on the design of buried flexible pipes (big and
small), how contaminants flow through the subsurface, and trenchless technologies. All
research activities are associated with the University of Waterloo Geomechanics Research
Group and/or the Centre for the Advancement of Trenchless Technology (CATT).
