Install a System Properties Logo

Don't know what I'm talking about? Hit winkey + break.  Performing the steps below will add personal branding to this window...

From Scratch:

 make bitmap 180x114
 name oemlogo.bmp
 make oemlogo.ini:

[General]
Manufacturer=K R A M P E R S
Model=Custom Power User
[Support Information]
Line1="Civil Engineering - University of Waterloo"
Line2="To get additional support for this computer, call:"
Line3="Kevin Rampersad ext.3674"
Line5="Or visit:"
Line6="http://www.civil.uwaterloo.ca/krampers"

- put both files in %systemroot%/system

Use Existing UW Civil Logo with script

- download this file
- unzip and run the file "runme.cmd" (for win2000/XP)
- edit  %systemroot%\system\oemlogo.ini:

Manufacturer= your name (since you installed OS)
Model= specific computer model - basic power user, basic office user, custom power user, MikeTek SuperTurbo Plus, etc.

- check it live to make sure it looks ok
