It was a cold day on January 14th, and almost as cold in the station as the furnace wasn't working, there were a couple of space heaters around but they just took the edge off. We played a selection of songs from both of our best of 1999 singles and album lists, if you want to see our lists you can check them out at the Fireball XL5 homepage at: www.civil.uwaterloo.ca/frseglen/archive/best_of_1999.htm Also, since the last mailout we have had a winner in the Y2K Hype contest: Although Cath had a strong start in the first half of the contest (she got 4 points for being one day away from December 10) Steven correctly guessed that January 12 would be the first day that Y2K would not be mentioned in the National Post gaining 5 points and the victory (By the way January 12 is still the only day without a mention so far in January). This week's show is the best of the 1990s hopefully there will be heat at the station.
