Just a quick note as I'm currently in Edmonton at a meeting, which leads to the announcement that this Friday November 26 the controls of Fireball XL5 will be in the capable hands of Heather and Trevor. I'm not thinking about a theme for the next show when I am back however everybody should start thinking about their picks for best albums of this year and also of the decade. Notes: There is no National Post on Sundays and I am relying on the search engine provided by the Website, I'm not going to actually scan the paper, so "Y2K" being used in an advertisement or in the classifieds doesn't count.  Scoring is as follows:  5 points for getting the date right on, and then losing a point for each day you are off, hence the maximum score will be 10 points.  In case there is a tie here is the tie-breaking question:  How many articles will contain "Y2K" on the January 1, 2000 edition of the National Post? Please submit your contest entries to frseglen@uwaterloo.ca, the cut off date for entries will be November 19, 1999.  There will no prizes, just the admiration of all my loser friends.  You can check the current standings at:  www.civil.uwaterloo.ca/frseglen/y2k_media_hype.htm By the way as of today the last time "Y2K" was not in an article was way back on October 27. Good Luck.
