February 4/5, 2014 | CATT/OGRA Trenchless Technologies 101
Over the past century, cities across Canada developed and expanded water distribution networks that consist of thousands of kilometres of buried pipelines. Today, many municipalities are faced with the challenge of constructing new pipelines in crowded urban environments, as well as, accessing and renovating aging and deteriorated pipes. February 6, 2014 | Microtunnelling for Trenchless Projects
This one day workshop will cover a phases of the construction of a stormwater, wastewater, forcemains, watermains, and utility pipelines using the trenchless microtunnelling construction method. Attendees will learn the state-of-the-art of this increasing popular pipeline construction method that only requires entrance and exit shafts to install the pipe on line and on grade through a wide variety of ground conditions. Microtunnelling benefits include reduced risk during construction, large greenhouse gas emission savings, rapid out-of-sight and out-of-mind construction, significant reduction in social and environmental costs.

Industry experts from Canada and Europe will cover the history and development microtunnelling method with special focus on Ontario, provide an overview of microtunnelling equipment, drill fluids, mud recycling, laser control systems, shaft design, and jacking pipe. It will also discuss geotechnical and design considerations for a successful project, project Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) considerations, and development of good project specifications. February 20, 2014 | Risk Management for TT Projects
This workshop will provide a total project perspective from inception to completion for delivering successful trenchless construction and rehabilitation projects. Leading industry experts will discuss the development of contracts and specifications, prequalification of consultants and contractors, design and execution, and risk management and QA/QC procedures. The selected case studies will highlight how to deliver projects within time, money and cost constraints. Through a review of the available practices and tools, attendees will learn how to plan and take necessary action to mitigate and manage risk. More details coming soon.

March 20, 2014 | Rehabilitation of Laterals & Water Services
This workshop will review trenchless technologies available for rehabilitating sewer laterals and water services.  Cases studies will be presented which will provide an overview of how to develop an effective lateral replacement program. More details coming soon.

Refunds of 50% will be issued upon written requests received at least 24 hours prior to event. NO REFUNDS issued after that time.
